Is this tour really suitable for beginners?

Yes. The Brand Trails are designed with gentle climbs, wide paths, and smooth desert terrain. It’s perfect for first-time riders or families with kids. Your guide keeps the pace relaxed and gives you tips along the way, so you’ll feel comfortable from start to finish.

What’s included in the tour?

We provide a well-maintained mountain bike and helmet. You are responsible to bring your own water bottle or hydration pack. Shuttle service to and from the trailhead is included, and your guide takes care of everything so you can just enjoy the ride.

How long is the ride?

The tour lasts about 4.5 hours including shuttle time, with plenty of breaks for photos, water, and rest. You’ll spend around 2 to 3 hours actually riding on the trail.

How far is the trailhead from Moab Adventure Center?

It’s just a short 15-minute drive from downtown Moab. With the included shuttle, you’ll spend less time driving and more time on the trail.

What age can kids join? Do you have youth bikes?

Children as young as 7 years old can ride the Brand Trails tour. We provide youth-sized bikes and helmets, and our guides are great at making kids feel included and confident. Note that kids must also be at least 47 inches tall to ride.

What are the height requirements for mountain biking?

Guests who book any mountain biking adventure must be at least 47" (3'11") tall. If guests do not meet this height requirement, they will not be able to properly fit on the bike or be allowed to ride the bike.

What if I am the only person to book on a bike tour?

There is a two guest minimum required for the daily per person rate. If there is a solo traveler they can pay a solo rider fee ($95) and the tour will still go. If other groups/persons book later we can remove the fee. If the guest does not want to pay the $95 solo rider fee to go out on their own, we are happy to reschedule the guest for a different day that other riders have booked or to cancel and fully refund the guest.

What should I wear or bring?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing, closed-toe shoes, and sunscreen. Sunglasses are also recommended. Bring a bike water bottle or hydration pack filled with water. Hydration packs are available at Moab Adventure Center. Many guests like to have padded bike shorts and bike gloves for added comfort, but they’re not required. We provide the bikes and helmets so you don’t need to bring much else.

Do I need to be in great shape to enjoy this ride?

No. The Brand Trails are gentle and scenic, with only moderate climbs. As long as you can ride a bike on pavement and are comfortable with a bit of uneven terrain, you’ll be able to enjoy this trail at a comfortable pace.

Are bathrooms available?

There are restroom facilities at the trailhead, and we recommend using them before starting the ride.

Do you offer transportation to the trailhead?

Yes. All mountain bike tours include round-trip shuttle service from Moab Adventure Center.
