What’s included with my Jeep rental?

Each rental comes with a trail guide booklet (8–9 recommended trails), cooler with ice and water, GPS locator, and SiriusXM satellite radio. We also provide maps and expert local advice to help plan your day.

Do I need off-road experience?

No. Our Jeeps are ideal for beginners as well as experienced drivers. The trail guide includes easy-to-navigate routes with spectacular scenery, and our team will suggest the best trails for your comfort level.

Where do I pick up and return the Jeep?

Pick up anytime after 8:00 AM at Moab Adventure Center. Return by 6:00 PM the same day, fueled and rinsed at the nearby car wash. (Early evening pick-up the day before may be arranged by calling our office.)

Is transportation provided to the rental office?

Yes. We offer a free in-town shuttle from hotels and campgrounds in Moab for your convenience.

How many miles are included?

Each Jeep includes 150 free miles per rental day. Additional miles are charged at $0.30 per mile, but most guests never exceed the limit.

Is there insurance coverage available?

Yes. Optional tire and glass coverage is available for a nominal fee per rental. It covers the full value of one tire or windshield with no deductible.

What happens if I get lost or need help?

All our Jeeps are equipped with GPS locators. This added security ensures that if you ever get into trouble or lost in the backcountry, we can find and assist you quickly.

Are pets allowed in the Jeeps?

No. Pets are not allowed in our Jeeps. Certified service animals are permitted with documentation, but renters remain responsible for any cleaning or damages.

What should I bring with me?

We recommend sunblock, a hat, light jacket, small first-aid kit, and extra water. When in Moab, we recommend that our guests drink about one gallon per person per day.

How many people and how much gear can a Jeep hold?

Our Jeep Rubicons comfortably seat up to 5 passengers with room in the rear for day packs, a cooler, and other essentials. If you’re planning to bring larger items or lots of gear, we recommend packing light so everyone has plenty of space.

Can I take the Jeep into Canyonlands National Park?

Yes, but some areas of Canyonlands require a backcountry day-use permit. More details are available here: NPS Permit Information.

Am I allowed to take my Jeep rental on any trail?

Only select trails are allowed for Jeep rentals. A list of the suggested trails as well as maps will be provided at the time of your rental. The following areas and trails are prohibited due to the nature and difficulty of the trail. Inexperienced drivers can cause harm to themselves and the Jeep while on these trails. Every rental comes with trail maps, a cooler of ice and water, and insider tips from our local team so you can head out with confidence. Whether you’re planning a single day of sightseeing or a multi-day adventure, your Rubicon is ready to go.

Pick up your Jeep any time after 8:00 AM and return it by 6:00 PM. Rentals are available year-round.

Note: Drivers must be 25 or older and carry proof of full-coverage insurance. (International renters can opt for our Collision Damage Waiver.)
