Highlight of our Trip to Moab!

Rating: 5

Thanks to Eric, the Sunset Hummer Tour was the highlight of our trip to Moab, Utah. We have gone on several other off-road tours during past vacas but this was definitely one of the best! Due to the weather, we never actually saw the sunset but being high atop the Moab rocks and looking down … Continued

Horseback Riding in Castle Valley

Moab, Utah is full of all kinds of Adventures Outdoors.  I could spend years here in Moab and always be able to find a new adventure I haven’t tried yet.  Recently I got the opportunity to go Horseback Riding in Castle Valley.  Twenty-five miles north east of  Moab, Castle Valley is absolutely breathtaking.  It is an amazing scenic drive along the … Continued

Dead Horse State Park and Island in the Sky

Canyonlands National Park is comprised of four separate districts; Island in the Sky, The Maze, The Needles and The Rivers (mainly The Colorado and The Green) that separate the three land-based districts.  Island in the Sky, a huge plateau rising above the canyons, is the most accessible district and is only a 45 minute drive … Continued

Jeeping Shafer Trail in Moab, Utah

Rating: 5

We rented a modified Jeep and took the Shafer Trail, starting from Potash Road! What an awesome trail and the spectacular views….not to mention the switchbacks!!! Most exciting thing I have ever done. I took a movie during the switchbacks and can’t wait to show my friends. Trish – Marblehead, MaJeep Rentals in Moab, Utah

Corona Arch

Another one of my favorite Moab Hiking Trails is Corona Arch.  The Trail is just a short drive from town, down Potash Road which runs along side the Colorado River.  It is one of the most scenic drives in America, because of the tall cliffs and stunning red rock that encompasses the area.  After passing Wall Street, a popular rock climbing area and a few dinosaur tracks, there … Continued

Climbing at the Ice Cream Parlor

When I found out that we were moving to Moab, Utah I was so excited to check out the Moab Climbing that Utah is so famous for.  After arriving in Moab I was a little intimidated by all the shear sandstone walls, which were much different from the porous limestone I was use to climbing in Illinois.  … Continued

Moab Rim Hike

There are so many options for Hiking in Moab, you could literally hike a new trail every week for a year and never cross the same path twice.  With that being said, I have already hiked one trail twice, The Moab Rim Trail.  It is not the easiest hike I have ever done, gaining approximately 1000 … Continued

We Had So Much Fun!

Ephedra’s Grotto Cayoneering

As if Mountain Biking wasn’t enough excitement in one day, I  also got to go Canyoneering the same afternoon, on a guided tour through the Moab Adventure Center.  Our guide was Chris.  He is very friendly and very knowledgeable.  We headed out on Sandflats Road to the back of Negro Bill’s Canyon.  As we hiked Chris filled us … Continued
