Moab Hummer Safari » Star Safari
The national parks and unique scenery of southeastern Utah have long been popular destinations for travelers. In addition to their stunning landscapes and rich cultural history, these areas share another resource: some of the brightest night skies remaining in the contiguous 48 United States. A night spent under the stars in southeastern Utah will amaze visitors with the volume of stars visible to the naked eye. As few as one in ten Americans live in areas where they can see the estimated 2,500 stars that should be visible under normal conditions. Under the right conditions, our high-powered telescopes even reveal the rings of Saturn and the gentle glow of the Andromeda Galaxy. As the first nighttime 4x4 tour of its kind, the Star Safari puts these desert stars at center stage. After sunset, you'll ride over astounding redrock terrain under the power of our custom headlights. Once in a remote location, our professional guides share their astronomy knowledge in describing the vast canopy of stars through the use of high-powered telescopes.
